A monthly practicum in practical magic
Welcome to your monthly escape into the art of mindful, enchanted living!
A tad tongue-in-cheek? Absolutely. But, if you, too, are looking to dip your toes into a more magical life but aren’t sure if the group chants or bare-your-soul vulnerability is for you, you’ve come to the right place.
Each month, we pick one topic or practice commonly used to help folks align to nature’s cycles, mindfulness practices, and self-care, and we’ll dig into its history, cultural significance, and mechanics.
Our gatherings are filled with roundtable discussions, practical applications, and end with a simple, yet sacred, circle.

Sacred Smoke: Incense-making and More
Join us for an immersive journey into the fragrant world of incense, where we explore its rich history, cultural significance, and the art of crafting your own blends. From an anthropological perspective, we’ll delve into the use of incense across different cultures—from the sacred rituals of ancient temples in Asia to the spiritual practices of indigenous tribes in the Americas, and the ceremonial traditions in Africa and Europe.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll discover the various types of incense, including resins, herbs, and woods, even combustion-free incense option, and learn how their aromas have been intertwined with human spirituality, healing practices, and social customs throughout history. Finally, we’ll guide you through the process of making your own incense, blending materials that resonate with your personal intentions and cultural inspirations.
Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned practitioner, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of incense as a global tradition and a personal practice.
